The exhibit consists of a table indicating the location of the origin of GI bleeding and the associated color of blood found in the stool. The left side of the exhibit shows an AP view of the GI anatomy, including the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, colon, ileum, and rectum with labels. A graphic line is drawn through the duodenum and is labeled Ligament of Treitz. Above this line, we label the region Upper GI Bleeding, and below this line, we label it Lower GI Bleeding. On the right side of the exhibit, we include a table with two columns. Column one is titled "Appearance of Stool". Column 2 is titled "Likely Source of Bleeding". We show a graphic representation of the different stool colors associated with the different GI bleed sources.
