Classical Delorme's Repair for Full Thickness Prolapse
This exhibit shows the inferior and sagittal views of the anus with a full thickness prolapse and a classical Delorme's repair. In this procedure, the mucosa is cut away from the underlying muscular tube. Next, suture plication of the muscular tube is performed. The mucosa is then moved back up inside the anus, over the plicated muscle layers and a mucosa to mucosa anastomosis is created using circumferential sutures.
