Intubation During an EGD Procedure

This animation shows the sagittal view of an intubation during an EGD procedure. The intubation tube is inserted through the oral cavity and into the trachea and down the esophagus in order to aid the patient in breathing during an esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) procedure. The EGD procedure is used to examine the inside of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum.
