This exhibit shows the palmar view of the progression of a left hand crush injury. The progression of the condition includes illustrations of the left hand in the pre-operative and post-operative conditions. The first illustration shows the left hand at the time of the accident with comminuted crush injuries to the bones and arteries of the left index finger and thumb. The second illustration shows the results of a surgical repair with cleaning of the wound and debridement of bones and tissues around the left index finger and thumb. The third illustration shows the development of necrosis surrounding the surgical areas. The final illustration shows the follow-up of a debridement surgery that is complicated by further debridement.
