This exhibit shows the anterior view of a venovenous ECMO device that is used to mechanically assist the cardiopulmonary system pump blood. This system uses a double lumen catheter that is inserted through the right internal jugular and down into the right atrium. Deoxygenated venous blood is taken away from the heart and is oxygenated using the venovenous ECMO device before it is pumped back into the heart.
